Pro Biker!

Hi everyone! 

I've already been in Wisconsin for three weeks! Days go by slowly but the weeks are going by so fast! It's definitely getting cold here and I'm getting nervous about the winter! 

We are sharing our car with the sister in our apartment which means we have to bike sometimes. I haven't biked since I was little so it was time to relearn. I have to tell you that the phrase it's like riding a bike is not true! It was a struggle but I did it! Maybe after my mission I'll be a pro biker!

This week we have zone conference with all the missionaries in our area and it was awesome! We got the opportunity to learn from our mission president and his wife! They told us to come prepared by writing a talk because he was going to call on a couple of us to open the meeting with it.  There were 40 missionaries and two got picked to speak. I was one of those two people! I was freaking out a little bit but I am so thankful I took a public speaking class.  At zone conference, they also awarded the cleanest car the Golden Plates and we won it!

I did not realize this but as a missionary people tend to tell you their whole life story and a lot of people have really sad stories! My companion told me that the name tag is a truth serum and I'm starting to realize that is true. I want to be as nice as I can to everyone because you have no clue what people have gone through.

Bertha called us today and she told us that her family is talking with her to convince her to not meet with us anymore. We will see how it goes but it was heartbreaking to hear how sad she was over the phone about it.

I'm going to start putting a Sister Skousen quote in my email because she has the most random and funny thoughts and phrases! 

"The only thing stopping this herd of cars is a color"
