Finally Free!

Hi everyone!      It is so nice to be finally out of quarantine! Sadly it is really cold so we end up going right back inside but it is nice to have the option to go places.     There were a lot of really tender moments this week!      First off Bertha! We asked where she was at in her reading and she was on the last page! We got to finish the Book of Mormon with her and it was so awesome! She gave us little cross necklaces and a little angel statue that says "Mother is another word for love". Not exactly sure why that made her think of us but it was so sweet! It is still really hard because she tells us she believes but her family won't support her. Her determination to continue learning is inspiring!     Another really sweet moment is Jim bringing us flowers and cookies because he appreciates what we do! Jim is a sweet old man who lives in the apartment complex next to us! We always say hi and talk to him when we go on walks because he ...

Testing Positive

Hello everyone!     Tomorrow is the start of a new transfer which means I have been in Wisconsin for 6 weeks! Because I am still in training I will be staying in Green Bay with Sister Skousen! Tomorrow is also our first day out of quarantine which I am so excited about!      I started not feeling good so I decided to go get tested. It took a couple days to get my results back so we assumed I was negative but they called me back and I was positive! It turns out I was the first breakthrough case of the mission! Covid is not fun but I got through it and I am feeling a lot better! We are so thankful for all of our ward members for buying us groceries and dropping us off dinners! They are too sweet!      This week was filled with doing a lot of studying, facebook missionary work, playing uno, and driving around so that we didn't go crazy being inside all day! We are so lucky to be at a time where technology allows us to continue to do God's work even w...

Conference Week And Cinnamon Rolls!

Image
Hi everyone! (I need to come up with a more creative way to start my emails) I apologize for all the errors in my last email! I wrote it and sent it quickly because I was running out of time!  Preparation day goes by too fast! This week wasn't too eventful but it was overall a great week! Highlights of this week: •We got to hear from the prophet in General Conference! There were so many amazing speakers and I had so many questions answered! I know God is aware of us and answers our prayers! • We ate the BEST cinnamon rolls from Kwik Trip during conference •We got to help make blankets for a service project! • We have such amazing members in our ward. One of the families fed us three times this week! They lived in Germany and made some really good German food! She also gave us a cooking lesson this morning! •We got to sing and record Nearer, My God, To Thee for one of our facebook posts and it was so fun to sing again! •We found a new friend named James and all he wanted was to grow...
