Merry Christmas!!

Image
Hi everyone!! I hope you had a great Christmas!!  It was so cold this week! It was -40 with windchill and we had to stay inside for a couple days because it was super windy but the work goes on! I'm so glad we know how to do social media work!  I love Christmas as a missionary! The members are so sweet and more people are open to talk about Jesus Christ!! This is going to be super short because we are about to go see a light show put on in Marshfield but here are some pictures! I love and miss you all!! Have an amazing week! ♡Sister McGary  Pictures: 1. The Englebretsons! We had surf and turf for Christmas eve with them! It was so much fun! It was a little scary of a drive in the snow but we survived!! 2. We got to do service at the light show Christmas night! It was so pretty!  We don't have pictures of it but on Christmas day, we spent the day with the Lonsdales and we got to go caroling that night!  3. Some of the light show 4. Quarantine Part 3

Hello everyone!! I made it to Marshfield and I absolutely love it here! The beginning of the week was full of packing, saying goodbyes and working for the last time in Muskego! It's so sad to leave an area especially when you've been there so long!  We also got to help pick up the new missionaries which was fun because I knew one of them was going to be my new companion!  We found out the next day at the trainers meeting that I would be training Sister Foote! She is so sweet and is such a powerful teacher!! We drove to Marshfield and made it in before a huge snow storm came through!  I then got sick which was so sad because I barely just got out of quarantine from last week! I didn't have much of a voice for a couple days but the work must go on! Our poor friends that we are teaching first impressions of me where when my voice was dying but they are still talking to us so that's good!! We had really good lessons where the spirit was so strong and we are so excited for o...

Training For My Last Two Transfers!

Hi everyone!!     We got transfer news yesterday and I'm being transferred to Marshfield and whitewash training a new missionary! That just means both of us will be new to the area! I am so excited!!  It's going to be so sad to leave Muskego and Sister Miner!!      So much happened this week but I will write what I can remember haha. The weeks are starting to go by in a blur because time is going so fast!     We got out of quarantine on Tuesday and it was a blessed day to be able to leave our apartment!! We then found out that all of our friends are sick as well which was so sad!!  Raelyn wasn't able to be baptized on Saturday because her daughter is sick but she is on baptismal date for December 30th!! I'm so excited for her!     We had our Christmas zone conference which was so amazing! President and Sister Hansen wanted to share one of their Christmas traditions with us so they had our families send notes to us in a stocking and ...

Quarantine Part 2

Hello everyone!! Sister Miner started not feeling good and tested positive for Covid on Wednesday but besides that it's been a good week!  Last week Sister Skousen and Sister Rigby found out one of their friends who is working towards baptism lives in our area so they came to church and it was so good! There were a lot of members who helped her feel welcome! She might get baptized this week or next! She is so sweet and is so faithful! We also had a relief society activity where we watched one of the Book of Mormon videos, had hot chocolate, and decorated Christmas cookies! It was so much fun! I love all the Sisters in our ward! We watched the video about when Jesus Christ visited the Americas and healed the sick. The Spirit was so strong and I was grateful to be able to represent my savior and testify of him! While watching that video I felt so much love from and for Jesus Christ! It reminded me that he loves and knows each of us individually! One night we were feeling better and w...
