Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are doing well!

Now I really wish I had a crazy story about a taco, a cat, a goat, cheese, and pizza but I don't. This is a card game that a member gave us and it is the most stupid yet one of the  most fun and dangerous games I have ever played. We might break a finger (see picture for proof).

I love it here so much! It is so pretty and everyone keeps telling me to wait until fall! All of the leaves are changing color and I am so excited!

I am going to be honest this week has been tough but I have had so many experiences that have helped me know my purpose as a missionary.

Everyone has told me that people wouldn't like what I was doing but I didn't know that it would be like this. We have been flipped off, told that our religion is not impressive at all, that we aren't educated enough to teach, and have been called names. This is discouraging but it is so worth it when we help people feel the peace and joy that the gospel brings us.

This week I got to be part of a lesson where we put one of our friends on date for baptism!!! Her name is Bertha and she is the sweetest! She is a cute little old lady and kept telling us that there is a reason God has kept her on the earth. We then started teaching her about the restoration of the gospel and her face lit up when we told her there was a prophet on earth today to guide us! Bertha then told us about a single mom who helped her even though she didn't even know her. We knew exactly who she was because we had been teaching her the new member lessons and she lived a couple houses over from Bertha. We asked Bertha if her name was Amanda and told her that she was a member of our church. She almost started crying. She told us that she knew that this church was true. Throughout this whole lesson all I kept getting the prompting that we needed to invite her to be baptized. Just then my companion asked her if she wanted to be baptized. I have never seen someone so happy than Bertha was at this moment. This is why I am on a mission. I am here to help people know that God loves them. To know where we came from, why we are here, and where we go after we die. To help them know they can be with their families forever. To help people know that they can find true joy and peace through Jesus Christ.

I am so thankful that I am getting this opportunity to serve a mission in Wisconsin with the people that I am with!

I love you all and I hope you have an amazing week!
