Talking To Ghosts?
This has been a week of finding people who are able to communicate with ghosts. It has been interesting and a little scary.
I'll start with the fun, less scary stuff!
Huge miracle! We have been trying to teach Bertha the Plan of Salvation for a long time but every time we try to teach it to her we aren't able to get to the lesson because she loves to talk! We sat her down and told her how important it was to know what God's plan is for each of us and she listened to the whole thing! It was the best! We were able to dive deeper because she was asking such great questions! At the end it usually takes time for people to think about it and to study it more but she told us she knows that what we said is true! We didn't feel like it was time to put her on baptismal date again but hopefully soon!
We had CDC this week and Sister Lovell and I got to perform at it! We wanted to film it before and to do that we usually open the window to set our phone in it. While we were filming our neighbor came out on her balcony and started to talk to us about it! It was so sweet!
We also got to talk to Jim about joining us to do family history! He said he isn't interested in taking the lessons but I think this will be really good for him to start learning about family history and why it will bless him! Family history is the best!!
Ok now back to the talking to ghost thing. We called a lady one night as she just had a loved one pass away. We were able to pray with her and to help her know that Chist can help her feel comfort at this time. The second time we called her she said that she was having paranormal stuff happen in her house and wanted us to come bless it. We said we would love to come pray for her and her house. The next time we called her she was silent for a while and then hung up. We haven't been able to get in contact with her and we really hope she is doing okay!
The second person that we came in contact with is someone that the elders in Madison sent to us! They said he was super interested in receiving a Book of Mormon so we took him one! We talked to him for a little bit, gave him the Book of Mormon, and then he told us that he had a gift. He said he was able to see, hear, touch, and talk to ghosts. I'm hoping I won't have any scary interactions with ghosts but we are super excited to start teaching him!
One morning we heard people moving outside so we decided to see if they needed help. We helped them unload and as we were talking to them we realized that I had been messaging them on Facebook. It is so awkward but funny when you meet or see someone that you've been talking to over Facebook! I don't think missionaries used to have this problem! It was good that we were able to talk to him in person though!
Transfers!
We have transfers this week but since I am training Sister Lovell I knew I would be staying with her for another transfer. Last Pday we decided to do a district Pday before people leave and it was so fun! We played a lot of card games, pickleball, and volleyball. I am still not good at volleyball but that's okay. Transfers are such a blessing because we have the opportunity to serve with and meet so many amazing people! I have loved the people that I have got to work with!
I love you all and miss you!! Have an amazing week!
