Conference In A Masonic Lodge?
Hello everyone!
This week has been crazy! We had two conferences this week and they were both amazing!
We had MLC (mission leadership council) where all the Sister Training Leaders and Zone Leaders came together to get training and to plan a combined district council. I am so sorry I am the worst at explaining things. It was such an amazing conference!
Then we had CDC on Friday! The middle meeting point for everyone in our zone is Dodgeville where they meet at a Masonic lodge because they don't have enough people to have a church building there. It was so interesting. They had symbols, spears, gavels, thrones, and spheres everywhere. We are all so curious what they all mean or are used for! But the CDC went so well! I was so scared because it was my first time running one! We did a cool activity where we made a puzzle, gave them all puzzle pieces, had them write their strengths that will help our zone, and then we put it all together to make a picture of Christ! I really think all of the sisters and elders know how much they are needed and know how amazing they are! I can't wait to get to know this zone more!
Taking the bus is a struggle but it is such an amazing opportunity! Bussing is a blessing! I have been able to meet so many great people! One guy was on his way to go bird watching with his friend and he was super fun to talk to!
Our members are so amazing! One brought us breakfast for dinner and it was so good! Another night we had an interesting dinner haha. Going into this dinner the girl that was driving us told us that the guys house we were going to really liked her. They were sorta bickering the whole time. The only way I can explain that night was what one of the elders said it was like. He said it was like the office where it would zoom into people's faces when something would happen haha. It was good food though!
I had some medical problems (I am doing well though) so we were in the doctor's a lot this week and I've had some really good conversations about the gospel with people working there! One of the people being trained to take blood used to come to the family history center at our church but hasn't come in like 2 years! We had a really good conversation about family history and he said he might come back and start doing it again! God truly does lead us to people!
Our friend Vimbai came to church for the first time and loved it! She moved here from Africa and has been staying with her uncle who is a member! She is so sweet! She was also super interested in family history which worked out perfectly because the person we asked to give her a ride is really good at family history!
I am so excited!! Two people that I taught in Green Bay are getting baptized this week! I am so happy for them and I am so excited to watch over zoom! I am also speaking next week in church and I'm scared because it is in front of a bunch of returning missionaries and people my age but it'll work out.
I love you all and miss you! I want to know how you are doing!
