Conference And Transfers!!
Hello everyone!
This week was so busy but it has been so good!
We had so many conferences this week including general conference which was so good! I can't wait to go back and study all the talks! One of my favorites was President Nelson's closing remarks! I love how he talked about how the future is unpredictable and beyond our control but that we have control over how we use our time! I'm not great at writing down exact quotes but I loved "Now is the time we can learn. Now is the time we can repent. Now is the time we can bless others!" I know that President Nelson is a prophet of God because that is exactly what I needed to hear! Our time as a missionary is short so we need to focus on the present not the future or past! I am so excited to take what I have learned and go and do God's work!
We also had the Mission Leadership Council and a conference with our zone! I love our zone! Something that really stood out to me that one of the Hermanas said was that God sees the whole book not just the one page that we see! We need to trust Him because He knows what He is doing!
A couple weeks ago we decided to go and talk to people on campus! We were able to talk to this girl and after we shared a scripture about how Jesus Christ overcame death we found out she was doing a research project about what happens after death! We set up a time to talk to her about the plan of salvation! It was kind of funny because she was treating it like an interview but we treated it like a lesson and it went so well! She had really good questions and toward the end she told us she was doing this because a family member she was close with passed away. God led us to her because she needed to know that she would be able to see her grandmother again someday!
We got to go to a zoo last PrepDay and it was so fun! It was a really good zoo for being free!
We also found out what is going to happen at transfers last night! Practically my whole zone is changing! I will be staying in Madison YSA but Sister Hinton will be going to Milwaukee. My new companion was actually her MTC companion! It's always sad when people have to leave but it means we get to serve with and meet amazing missionaries! Also Sister Lovell is training for this transfer so I'll be a grandma! Mission family trees are crazy but it is fun haha!
I love you all! I hope you have an amazing week!
