Bus Stops And Elmo?
Hello everyone!!
Ah, this week was so good and was so filled with the spirit!!
Last Monday we had FHE that night and the activity was to capture the flag! I always feel bad going to activities especially when our friends don't show up but was reminded that member work is one of the most important parts of missionary work! Sister Cutler was playing and I was talking with some members that were playing and we both spotted someone who looked like they wanted to join the game! We both started walking towards him with a member and got him to play! His name is Yousheng and he is so cool! One of our members even spoke mandarin to him when he couldn't quite understand because he served in Taiwan! Everything just kind of fell into place! God knows what he is doing! We had a lesson later that week and he said he doesn't quite believe in God but he is willing to pray! He said his first prayer with us and it was such a tender moment!
One of our other friends we are teaching that came to FHE a couple weeks ago, Ben, is loving the Book of Mormon! He keeps asking for reading assignments which is so amazing! He loved the plan of salvation and we had an amazing member in on the lesson! He even brought up baptism himself in the lesson! He said he wasn't quite ready to commit but he will think about it! We still need to get him to pray more but he is making so much progress!
We had exchanges this week with Mad 3 and I got to be with Hermana lym! After going to a member meal we felt strongly that we needed to go street contacting. We prayed and I got the impression to go to the engineering building! We talked to everyone along the way, everyone said no but we had some good conversations! We did some lessons outside of the engineering building and then started to walk back. There was a guy I felt we needed to talk to but he turned the corner and we thought he was long gone. When we turned the corner he was sitting at the bus stop!! His name is Sarif! We started talking to him and he said he had a rough day at the lab and then accepted a message about Christ! We were able to share a message, get his contact information and set up another time before the bus came! Sometimes I am so thankful for late buses!
Church was so good on Sunday!! We were a little bummed when our friend Da'mein didn't show up because it means his baptismal date will be pushed back. The theme for sacrament meeting was talking about the temple and I've never felt the spirit so strong in church before! I definitely took for granted having temples everywhere in Utah! I am so thankful for this sacrament meeting because while it wasn't quite the same as going to the temple, God knew I needed a little boost. If you haven't gone in a while or are thinking about taking the steps to go through the temple, do it!! The amount of power, peace, and joy you will receive is indescribable and any sacrifice you will make to get there whether it be time or gas will be so worth it!! I am so excited to be able to go in about 10 months!!
I love you all so much! I hope you have an amazing week and that remember how much
God loves each of you!

Pictures:
1. We went on a hike with our district last week! There were no mountains but it was a beautiful trail! Everything is so green here!
2. We were at a member dinner. There was a strange figure across the pond that was freaking us all out and wasn't moving so we decided to check it out haha.
3. I made banana bread! It turned out better than my last attempt and the district loved it! The whole loaf was gone in like 5 minutes
4. Our gorgeous walk to the grocery store!
5. We have to copy whatever picture the zone leaders do in the zone chat when we update the area book! Not quite sure why it's funny to see everyone try
6. We found a leaf wall outside of a member's house!
7. A kid left an elmo in the middle of a circle of chairs and we thought it was so funny!!
8. .... then it moved the next day
