Tornado Watch

Hello everyone!! 

 

 

We had exchanges last week with the Madison 3 sisters and they are adorable! I got to go out to Middleton and see all the farms which was so fun! Hermana Lym and Sister Fessler are the funniest people ever! We called a guy on Facebook that night who was a little tipsy and was so confused who we are and why we were calling. He was so excited to hear a message and to pray and remembered us the next morning!! We also almost set up a lesson with a known basher I am so glad someone told us about him!

 

 

We also did a lot of street contacting last week because it was so nice out! I did not realize how much of a party school this was until we walked past all of the party houses and it was like 1:00 pm and they were partying? Sometimes I forget I am on a college campus that is not in Utah!

This week we had a ton of conferences! We had our mission leadership council and it was so good! President is preparing us for the new mission president so we talked a lot about keeping and building the culture of unity and obedience! I'm going to miss the Murphy's so much! They have done an amazing job with this mission and have taught me so much!

 

 

We then had combined district council and it was so good! I'm always stressed planning it but it couldn't have gone better!

 

 

One of the sisters in our ward just got her call for her mission to Paraguay so we are doing weekly studies with her! It was so fun! I felt like I was training again!

 

 

We put one of our friends on date for baptism! It was so cool because he told us he's always wanted to be baptized even before we brought up baptism! He didn't come to church:( but there is always next week! 

 

 

We also found someone this week who speaks Swahili (I hope I spelled that right) and he told us that he's been waiting for the Church address for a long time. We think the other sisters couldn't understand what he was saying and thought he said no to church but he was so excited when we called and invited him! It was so sweet!!

 

 

One of our friends Jonathan told us he has been going to another church but still said he would study with us and we had a really good discussion! Hopefully we will be able to get him to come back to church sometime!

 

 

We were doing our companionship study one morning and all of a sudden we hear music and a speaker outside! All of a sudden we see one person run past on the street in front of us and then like 5 minutes later a ton of people running on the street! Apparently it is a race that they do every year and since Sister Cutler was a runner she was loving it! We were not expecting that that morning!

 

 

Last week the weather was so nice and this week it has been stormy! We had a tornado watch which was cool, no tornado but it was very windy and rainy!
