Was That A Duck?
Hi everyone!!
I made it to Muskego!!
This is literally such a cute area! We have a lot of smaller towns that we got to drive through to see members and it has made me so happy! It is so green!
So many great things happened this week!
I traveled to Milwaukee on Wednesday and transfers are so fun because you get to see a lot of people you've served with before!
One of the first members I met was a cute older lady named Sister Lukens and she told us about how when she moved into assisted living she felt she was there to do God's work! She has been reading preach my gospel and she taught us the restoration! It was so good! She is such a good ward missionary! She also told us that she ended up finding someone who lives there that used to be a member and invited her to join our next lesson!
We called this lady named Weng who the elders passed off to us and she said that she and her husband and sons would love to come to church! We ended up teaching her and her husband and they said yes to being baptized! We weren't able to set up a baptismal date yet because she will be going to the Philippines for the next couple weeks to visit family but they said we will talk about it when she gets back! We will hopefully be able to get her to go to church when she is there! We have a church tour with them tonight!
We also were able to get a hold of a less active family that the sisters have been trying to get a hold of for a while! They were so sweet and said they might come to the ward breakfast on Saturday!
While we were doing some calls on facebook, someone who I used to teach called us! Andy said he felt bad for standing us up but that he wanted to learn more! Sadly he isn't in our area but the missionaries there will do amazing! He also has ducks and they kept quacking in the background of the call. It was so funny because we didn't realize what they were at first!
We then had church on Sunday and it was so fun to be in a family ward again! The little kids are adorable! I walked in and right away got asked to say the opening prayer. I'm surprised I've gone this long without saying a prayer in sacrament meeting! We got invited over to Bishop Barfuss' house and they fed us salmon! I was always scared to eat salmon because I thought I didn't like it but it was actually pretty good! I feel like I'm a lot less of a picky eater since being on a mission haha. It is so amazing to have family dinners again!
I love and miss all of you!! I hope you have an amazing week!
