I Want A Bernese Mountain Dog!!
Hello everyone!!
We went to a member's dinner yesterday and they had a Bernese mountain dog (I hope I am spelling that right) and I fell in love with it! It was the sweetest and was so fluffy!! They said their cows were usually out but since it was dark we sadly couldn't go see them. They told us we can see them next time!
We taught seminary and I don't remember how I used to wake up for early morning seminary haha. It was fun though!
We had a lot of member messages! We are teaching the members daughter to prepare her for baptism because she is scared of water but she loves the Plan of Salvation!! It was also really cool because her dad who isn't a member joined the lesson as well!
We also had to get an oil change this week and while waiting I got to talk to a guy in the waiting area! Haha I asked if there was anything fun to do around here and he said bars. We will not be doing that haha. We later talked about family and he said that he has two daughters and right as I was about to ask if he would want to hear about how to be with his family forever his car was finished and he left. Even though I didn't get his name, a seed is planted for the next missionary that talks to him!
Joe texted one of our members this week and said that he got baptized in another church. I am very much heartbroken about it but he will hopefully come back someday.
We were on our way home from dinner and Sister Miner got a prompting to go to the gas station to go visit the person we gave the Book of Mormon to. Sadly he wasn't working but I knew we were there for some reason. I wanted to talk to someone I saw in a car but when we walked out his car was gone. I then looked to my right and he was walking in so I ran to talk to him and he said he wanted to hear a message and actually texted us back!!
We got to do lots of service this week! We serve weekly at St. Vincent's which is kind of like a Goodwill but it has been fun to serve with the employees! We also helped one of our members who moved to Hawaii clean and pack.
We are also teaching someone who is starting his own church. I was a little nervous about it at first but he actually sounds sincere about learning and reading the Book of Mormon! He really knows the Bible though so we had to do a lot of studying for his lesson this week! He has really good questions and some of his comments started to make me doubt for a second but it was so cool because when we testified of the Book of Mormon and God's plan I knew and felt the things we were teaching were true! Haha he also couldn't pronounce Nephi and Moroni and then said that we were pronouncing it wrong! I think he pronounced Moroni and Macaroni at one point.
I am so very thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and for the opportunity to continue to build my testimony and I share what has brought me peace and joy with others!!
I love you all!! Have an amazing week!!
